Welcome to my new blog! My name is Ashley, I'm the proud owner of Rivermont Farm, Inc. in Lyerly, Georgia. Where on earth is THAT you may ask yourself? It's a tiny town about an hour south of Chattanooga. Granted moving here from Atlanta in 2002 was a bit of a culture shock, I enjoy the beauty of the land here and the small town life.
I decided to start a blog for a bit of an inside look at life on the farm. A little bit about who I am, and who "she and I" are! I was born in Atlanta in 1975. I'm living my lifelong dream of running a successful horse farm. I'm a single mom with the most amazing daughter, Gracie. She will be 8 in May.
Each day I learn something new about life. The pros and cons of self employment, the challenge of being a single parent and self employed in a world that is not always kind, but through it all I know I am blessed. I know God put me where I am now because He has a plan, and I'm hoping to make Him proud in all I do. I know that ultimately I want to make a good difference in the lives around me. I'm looking forward to sharing what life on the farm is like for Gracie and I. Life is good, and I know the best is yet to come.

You have always made me proud in everything you do - and you've come a long way from your little mini farm in Fairburn. I'm also very proud of "she", my granddaughter who is so much like her Mom.
